High Definition Golf™ Launches Professional Golf Instruction Studio
Complete Studio Solution to Debut at the 2011 PGA Merchandise Show
Ontario, Canada – January 14, 2011 – Interactive Sports Technologies™ the makers of High Definition Golf simulators will once again take center stage at the 2011 PGA Merchandise Show, with the introduction of the most technically advanced and interactive teaching environment based on the industry leading HD Golf simulator.
High Definition Golf™ will present a totally integrated professional golf instruction studio which is easy-to-use, completely modular in design and includes “closed loop” diagnostic tools for detailed shot analysis, video swing analysis, swing dynamics and weight transfer/balance analysis. In addition to this, High Definition Golf™ will also demonstrate their feature-rich tools for precision club fitting and equipment comparison.
Using computer vision technology, pioneered by High Definition Golf™ for the golf simulator industry, the system makes more measurements, more accurately than any other golf simulator currently on the market. These include distance (carry & roll), ball speed, club-head speed, efficiency (“smash factor”), launch angle, swing-path (outside/in, inside/out), club head angle at impact, ball position (re: club-head at impact) and the very important ball spin and spin axis. Utilizing the swing dynamics module, the simulator will also measure angle of attack, club head acceleration, shaft flex & load factor, position of maximum club head speed, club head speed at impact and swing tempo.
These professional-grade tools operate seamlessly from a single computer system providing comprehensive data collection and various simultaneous display options. The golf simulator also generates a variety of performance reports that are customizable and can be uploaded to “Player Lockers.” The “Player Locker” is a new web portal that the student can use to access and review lessons, statistics, video swing files, club fitting information as well as sign up for tournaments and league play. The system will capture all the rounds played on HD Golf™ simulators around the world and will also let you enter your scores from rounds played outdoors, giving you a complete snapshot of your progress and performance level.
“We are very excited about this years PGA Show. We have been very focused as an organization, and look forward to demonstrating what we think are the next logical steps in golf simulator technology development,” according to Bob Beecroft, Vice President of Sales for High Definition Golf™. “We started off with a very simple question – what tools do teaching pros need? And the answer, a single system that is cost effective, easy-to-use and provides all the necessary ball/club measurements with high accuracy. A simulator that can provide instant feedback after every swing and includes everything from video swing analysis to weight transfer and customizable performance reports. Our engineers and developers took it from there and the results are just amazing!”
There will be something for everyone at this years show, with live clinics and demonstrations by World Renown golf instructor Jim McLean and Long Drive champion Jamie Sadlowski. The PGA Merchandise Show will take place in Orlando, Florida at the Orange County Convention Center, January 27th through January 29th. High Definition Golf™ will be exhibiting at booth #2411.
